hen heading back home to see the relatives, one Chinese billionaire likes to travel in style and convenience, landing by helicopter on the roof of his homestead.
The chopper was recently spotted hovering above a private home in a Sichuan mountain village in rural Cangxi county, casting up dust from the top of the building before touching down.
According to locals, this isn’t the first time that this big shot has arrived back in his home village this way, apparently finding flying easier than navigating the shoddy mountain roads.
It turns out that the helicopter’s owner is Lu Junqing, a Chinese tycoon and philanthropist most famous for starring in a 2011 China-Africa charity scandal.
On Weibo, some netizens wondered if such a helicopter landing was legal. “If you have enough money, then nothing is illegal,” responded one web user.
