Man brutally tortures, kills his ex-girlfriend’s cat and then sends her the video

An angry mob of animal lovers later tracked the man down and beat him up on the street

After being dumped by his girlfriend of three years, one man decided to take revenge, brutally killing his former sweetheart’s cat and sending her video of the disturbing execution.

The man, surnamed Bian, had lived together with his girlfriend, surnamed Yao, in an apartment in Shenyang which she paid for. However, that changed when Yao decided to break up with Bian, apparently because her family disapproved of him.

Yao moved some of her stuff out of the apartment and planned to return the next day for her cat. However, that night, Bian got drunk and threatened to kill the animal, an American Shorthair bought for 2,000 yuan, if she did not return immediately.

The following morning, Yao promised to be at the apartment at around 11 am. However, Bian decided that he couldn’t wait. At just after 10 am, he sent Yao video of her cat’s brutal murder.

In the extremely disturbing video, Bian is seen strangling the cat with a piece of cloth. “I need to find something hard, a keyboard is hard enough,” he then says before brutally slamming the animal onto the keyboard multiple times.

“In case it didn’t die, I will stab it in the lungs,” he continues, using a kitchen knife to stab the cat before zooming in on the open wound. At the end of the video, the cat is seen lying lifeless in a pool of its own blood.

When Yao returned to the apartment, she found the cat’s dead body stuffed inside of a box.

Video of Bian torturing and killing the poor creature went viral on Chinese social media over the weekend, enraging netizens across the country. In no time, China’s trusty “human flesh search engine” had learned Bian’s identity. On the night after he murdered the cat, he was beaten up on the street in Shenyang by a group of enraged animal lovers.

Bian later claimed that his fingers had been broken by the angry mob and has demanded 20,000 yuan in compensation.

Meanwhile, Yao reported Bian to the Shenyang police soon after receiving the video. However, rather than try to sue her ex-boyfriend, Yao decided to settle the matter privately, receiving an undisclosed sum in compensation from Bian.
