Shanghai is China’s fine dining capital, but the city is facing headwinds such as a saturated restaurant scene and competition from other markets, both in the country and overseas. Find out how Shanghai can tackle these at an event in November, where chefs and culinary experts will discuss these challenges and how to turn them into opportunities.
Taking place at The St. Regis hotel in town on November 5, the inaugural TastyTrip Gastronomic Forum 2018 aims to explore global trends and how to turn challenges into opportunities in Asia’s culinary industry.
11月5日就在静安瑞吉酒店，首届TastyTrip Gastronomic Forum 2018旨在共同探讨全球餐饮趋势及如何将之应用到本地，并把在亚洲精致餐饮市场所面临的挑战转换为成功机会。
“The latest global gourmet trend is about environmental sustainability,” said TastyTrip managing director Jocelyn Chen. “But in Asia, including China, the development of fine dining is a little bit behind. We expect to impart the experience that foreign chefs have to rising stars and give them some useful advice. Also, we aim to promote local cuisine in China at all levels.”
