Stuck in Shanghai this Golden Week while your friends are away? Don’t despair, as it’s the perfect time to take advantage of the (relative) lack of crowds to explore some of the city’s popular restaurants and bars. To help you plan, here are nine places offering food and drink deals starting September 30.

    Hakkasan

Modern Chinese restaurant Hakkasan is running extended hours from 11am until October 7 and they’re serving a special Cantonese style afternoon tea called Bund in Bloom. For ¥288 per person, you get dishes such as this salad with cucumber flower and lemongrass vinaigrette, a floral dim sum platter, wild mushroom soup, a choice between wok-fried seabass or tea-smoked chicken, organic five grain rice, and a lemongrass parfait. Also includes a cocktail.

All sets come with a side of vegetables, miso soup, rice, pickles, and fruit.
