An airline company has been forced to compensate a chicken farmer after one of its helicopters hovered low above some chicken coops near the Guangxi city of Yulin, causing a massive stampede which left hundreds of the birds dead.
In total, 364 chickens died in the incident, crushed by their sistren after being spooked by the loud noise coming from the chopper. Video from the scene shows a field covered with dead chicken carcasses.
After mediation, the airline agreed to pay the chicken farmer 12,584 yuan ($1,800) in compensation.
