little girl recently survived one heck of a fall from a high-rise apartment building in Chongqing.
The 6-year-old fell from the 26th floor of the building. On the way down, she crashed through the fiberglass roof of a parking area before landing on the ground. Surveillance footage shows her lying on the ground for a few seconds before getting up and walking it off.
Later, she was taken to the hospital where she was found to have suffered only a broken right hand from fall. It’s not clear how the girl came to fall from the building or where her parents were at the time.
It’s certainly possible that the fiberglass roof saved her life, though small children have been known to fall from great heights to the ground with little injury. Last year, a 2-year-old girl survived a fall from a 17-floor apartment window without any serious injuries, landing on soil that had been softened by recent rains.
