Beijing father has insisted that he was not flaunting his wealth when he landed at his kid’s primary school last week in a helicopter.
Instead, the dad, surnamed Chen, told Btime.com that he had been invited to the school’s science and technology festival and was there to educate the children and spark an interest in aviation. Chen is the owner of a business that operates helicopter tours around the Chinese capital.
Footage of his landing on the schoolyard had gone viral last week, sparking rumors that the parent had taken his kid to school by chopper because they were running late and/or to show off his riches.
Of course, netizens can’t exactly be blamed for believing these rumors. In the past, wealthy couples have made headlines for flying to their wedding via helicopter. Last year, one rich dad in Hangzhou raised a fuss by driving his son to school in a Ferrari with other parents
