Last week, the city began requiring that all those arriving from countries badly hit by the Covid-19 virus must be quarantined for two weeks, either at their own home or in designated hotels for observation.
This policy has now been extended to everyone arriving in from another country.
Those visiting Beijing on short business trips will be required to stay at designated hotels until they are cleared by nucleic acid test.
The update comes after China’s capital city reported six new imported coronavirus cases on Tuesday, five from Italy and one from the United States.
No word yet on whether Shanghai’s airport will follow suit, though you would expect so.
