The global coronavirus pandemic has now come full circle with Wuhan reporting its first imported case.
A 16-year-old student recently returned to Wuhan from studying in the United Kingdom.
The teen left Newcastle airport on March 21 and arrived in Beijing on March 23. He then traveled on a chartered bullet train to Wuhan with other returnees.
Upon arrival, he was put into isolation at a designated hotel before testing positive for Covid-19 on March 28.
Once the epicenter of the coronavirus with thousands of new cases reported each day, Wuhan is now returning to normalcy as the number of new transmissions has dropped down to zero.
Ironically, the city now fears travelers arriving from elsewhere. On March 17, Wuhan authorities announced that anyone returning from overseas would be put in quarantine for two weeks.
