hile he was in town recently for the Shanghai International Film Festival, actor Jesse Eisenberg found the time to find homes for three abandoned kittens.
In a video posted to Weibo by a fan, Eisenberg holds a box with three sleeping kitties:
“I found these three beautiful cats on the street,” he says. “If you are interested in adopting them, they are really lovely, they look like my personal cat in New York, please contact us. ”
“If you’re interested in adopting them please pick them in eight days from now, when they’ll be fully healthy and ready to go,” he adds before signing off.
The video was posted onto Weibo at 6:35 pm on Saturday evening. Five minutes later, the Weibo user announced that all three cats had been adopted. At the moment, the video itself has more than 2.4 million views.
Eisenberg has a famous affection for cats, once serving as a foster parent to homeless felines, hosting a growing number of them as his fame continued to grow.
“I’m a foster parent for cats and the more movies I do, the more guilty I feel — and the more cats I feel the need to get to alleviate the guilt from doing the movies,” Eisenberg told Conan O’Brien in 2010. “And then if a movie is, god forbid, popular… then I have to get even more cats.”
In 2014, he weighed in on the age-old dog vs. cat debate with this video:
These days, Eisenberg no longer fosters cats, but happily has ones of his own.
