fter making enough money, one wealthy man decided to finally fulfill his childhood dream, turning an airplane into an Angry Birds-painted restaurant.
The unique restaurant is located on the outskirts of Chengdu, in the inside of a “Boeing 777.” On the plane’s lower level there’s a space science museum for kids while the upper level houses the restaurant — where you don’t need to wear a shirt to get service.
Apparently, when he was a kid, the owner of this fine establishment was fascinated by planes. With the help of 10 million yuan of his own money, he finally decided to turn his dreams into reality.
It’s not clear why he decided to go with an Angry Birds paint job, though we’re going to guess that it did not follow a meeting with Rovio Entertainment about paying for the rights.
Despite popular perceptions of airline food, restaurant planes are actually becoming a thing in China. The first opened in 2016, inside a Boeing 737 in downtown Wuhan. The following year, a Henan businessman bought two discarded planes, planning to turn them into a restaurant and a hotel.
