This is not your father’s wine tasting: drink over 30 European natural wines at this event on Sunday in Shanghai.
Organized by local importer KC Wine on August 26 (it happens again on Monday, August 27 but that’s more for the trade), they’re lining up over 30 different bottles from 16 wineries, including cult winemakers from France, orange wines from Italy, and cool climate wines from Spain.
Try the alt-Burgundian wines from the dreadlocked Yann Durieux, as well as styles from Domaine Sextant and Domaine Bonnnardot.
From Italy, there’s the highly-sought-after Radikon with their skin contact white wines, as well as La Stoppa from Emilia-Romagna, and the Sicilian winemaker La Vigne di Eli.
Spain doesn’t get a lot of notice for its natural wines, but Altolandon from the mountainous Manchuela provides a glimpse of why the country shouldn’t be overlooked.
Tickets are on sale now for ¥388 or ¥488 at the door and RSVP is needed. Get in touch with KC Wine to find out more.
Sunday and Monday, August 26 and 27, 3pm to 7pm
