After four years of high-quality athletic spectacle as the China Squash Open, the 2018 edition of the tournament has officially been upgraded to the PSA World Tour Gold Tournament. The biggest squash tournament in China, it’s traditionally played in a glass court on the 11th floor of the Peninsula under the full lights of Pudong. That’s got to make it tough on the 48 top professional squash players from 16 countries and regions competing for the title. This year sees women’s world No. 1 player Nour El Sherbini returnin got China to defend her title. For men, Germany’s Simon Rösner, last year’s semi-finalist, will try his best to challenge for the China Open championship.
