ast Friday, a 43-year-old man arrived at a hospital in Hubei’s Chongyang county complaining of a splitting headache.
Upon examination, doctors discovered the most likely explanation — a 48mm-long nail that was lodged in the top of his skull. After hearing this diagnosis, the man was surprised, claiming that he had no idea how a nail came to be inside his head.
The man, surnamed Hu, told doctors that he works at a local cement factory monitoring security cams, a job that keeps him away from nails. He also said that his head had only started to hurt this week, growing worse as time went on until he was finally forced to go to the hospital, according to the Chutian Metropolis Daily.
For the time being, the mystery of the source of the nail has been put aside as Hu has been taken to a larger hospital in the provincial capital of Hubei to have the object extracted.
