nhance your child’s sports agility and physical strength this summer at Major League Sports Camp by Worldstrides Global Camps in Shanghai. Held over three separate sessions from July 1 to August 9, campers will learn a new sport as well as a variety of interpersonal and communication skills, all taught by experienced professionals at Oriental Sports Center in Pudong.
The program consists of five sport modules that campers choose from and work on one every morning. Introduction to Golf teaches kids the basic skills and the fundamental rules of the game, while Tennis for Beginners covers racket handling, rules, and competition strategy. Campers will practice ball control and handling in Soccer Skills Workshop, or learn proper strokes and breathing techniques in American Red Cross Swimming Clinic. New this year is the Adventure and Wilderness Skills session, where campers will be taught how to pitch a tent, cooking, and the principles behind the weather, oceans, and sun.
Besides the sport, the program also focuses on physical conditioning, strength training, stamina, coordination, and teamwork.
For the rest of the day, campers can take part in a broad range of exciting activities such as hurtling down China’s longest Slip-N-Slide, scaling a climbing wall, and riding a zip line. There also are workshops covering arts and craft, architectural design, and robotics. All activities are not only fun but also emphasize independence, creative thinking, and teamwork.
Each session culminates in Parents’ Day with exhibition matches, relays, parent-child team competitions, and level prizes for all campers.
