hina’s own Evel Knievel recently made a thrilling, record-shattering jump over the Yangtze River.
On Saturday, 40-year-old Li Qilong drove up and off a ramp, sending him flying over the source of the Yangtze in Qinghai province. Li flew for a distance of 75.6 meters, nearly twice as far as the previous record jump of its kind in China — a 1997 jump over the Yellow River’s Hukou Waterfall.
While it appears that Li landed rather hard on the other side of the river. He later sent out a message to his followers, friends, and family, saying that he was perfectly fine and thanking them for their support. The car’s condition, however, is not clear.
