woman claims to have recently sneezed out some cotton which was allegedly stuck up her nose for the past six months, accidentally left there by surgeons.
Back in October, the woman, surnamed Zhu, had a rhinoplasty performed at a beauty clinic in the Jiangxi capital of Nanchang, paying 26,000 yuan ($3,800). She says that she felt the operation was poorly done and had experienced discomfort in her nose ever since, according to a Knews report.
Finally, last week, she sneezed and out came a piece of cotton which she describes as being covered in blood and smelling awful.
The hospital, however, has refused to take responsibility for this cotton ball, pointing toward an agreement which the two sides had signed in January, compensating Zhu 10,000 yuan ($1,500) but declaring that any issues she experienced in the future would not be related to the hospital.
Furthermore, the head of the hospital has publicly doubted that the cotton could have been left by surgeons, declaring that Zhu would not be able to breathe with it stuck up her nasal cavity and inviting her to provide evidence and then the hospital would take responsibility.
Zhu is seeking 100,000 yuan ($15,000) in damages from the clinic.
