If there is one thing we want in our food, it is passion. Be it heavy North Europe carb passion, flying colors of Mediterranean fresh goods, or some Peruvian zest followed by tangy pisco sours.

Great news for those zest lovers – Shanghai’s hotspot for Peruvian food, Colca, has opened a second location at North Bund, serving Peruvian & Latin American food! !

They are also running an Azul pop-up brunch every weekend for the next three months so get your weekend schedule cleared.

Peruvian flair at Colca North Bund

Colca on Hengshan Lu has long been a popular spot since it opened in 2017.  It’s a crowd-favorite for simple, honest Peruvian food with a Latin twist and it does one of the best pisco sours in Shanghai.

Chili Chicken Croqueta and Mushroom & Truffle Croqueta (RMB58)

The second location of Colca at North Bund’s Sinar Mas Plaza brings the same casual, vibrant flavors of Peru closer to those living in Hongkou and Pudong.

Colca North Bund has retained all that’s good from the much-loved original—warm service, vibrant colors, delicious food, and value for money.

    Colca Executive Chef Abel Matos

Peruvian-native Executive Chef Abel Matos heads the kitchen, serving all the ceviches, croquetas, Josper-fired octopus, and hearty steaks you could want.

The new branch brings you a much larger venue with a spacious dining area, a second-floor mezzanine, a private dining room, a cocktail bar & lounge, and a massive outdoor area for that hot, hot summer everyone is looking forward to.

The outdoor terrace is also equipped with a bar and plenty of seating for dining al fresco.

Families take note—they will be adding an outdoor play area for children in the near future so you can concentrate on those pisco sours.

    Pop-Up: Azul’s famous brunch

In addition to the new opening, Colca is running the popular Azul brunch on the weekends for the next three months until Azul (formerly on Wukang Lu) reopens in a new location.

    Azul Breakfast Plate

The brunch menu offers dishes for meat-lovers and vegans alike, the latter of whom can dive into a plant-based version of chorizo and eggs!

    Vegan “Chorizo & Egg”

The Azul pop-up runs every Saturday and Sunday from 12:30pm-3:30pm. You can choose from two courses (RMB168) or three courses (RMB198).

Both of them come with a house cocktail, smoothie, juice, or lemonade, and coffee or tea. If you are looking to make that sunny weekend count, opt-in for two hours of free-flow cava for RMB150.
